don't let the darkness... by IamFataMorgana don't let the darkness... by IamFataMorgana
dear lilah
there is something evil in this house. i can feel it so very cold in my bones. i can taste its inky visage on my tongue and the smoothness of its tendrils in my hair. it is so beautiful it sickens me. i am running away. come. find me in the trees. quickly lilah. dont let the darkness steal you away....

simply a mirage...
Have you ever heard the tale of Morgan le Fay? Fata Morgana is an idiomatic Italian expression for a mirage. Fata meaning fairy---as in Morgan le Fay. Morgan le Fay is a sorceress in the King Arthur tales that was Merlin's rival and Arthur's half sister. It was believed, many years ago, that the mirage was caused by her witchcraft, hence the name fatamorgana. Fata also, in Vulgur Latin means "the goddess of fate" (or something along those lines). Thank you for your curiosity; not many people ask about my name. :)

i thought maybe you were Romanian. fata means girl. as in Morgana girl. which sounds like the name of a fairy tale. i thought youd named yourself after a fairy tale.

i can't find my fairy tale book to verify.

:) An idiomatic expression is an expression like keep tabs on, for example, where the expression of the given language cannot be understood from the individual meanings of it's elements (The American Heritage Dictionary). So when I call fatamorgana an idiomatic expression I am just clarifying that the actual words don't mean "mirage" in of themselves, but that word is used to indicate a "mirage". I don't know if that is a clear enough explanation, I think I might have confused you more. By the way, are you Romanian?

Cool. :) I'm glad. Sometimes I get a bit academic in my explanations and people get confused.
I have always wanted to visit Romania. It seems like such a romantic country yet does not receive as much press as Italy or France. Tis a shame.
